Stool can smell strong when eating spicy food because the body may not fully digest the spicy compounds in the food. These compounds can pass through the digestive system relatively intact, leading to their strong odor being released in the stool. Additionally, spicy foods can also stimulate the digestive system, causing it to work harder and potentially produce more odorous byproducts during the digestion process. Finally, the combination of spices and other foods in the diet can also contribute to changes in stool odor. **

When eating spicy food, the capsaicin compound in the food can irritate the digestive tract. This irritation can lead to increased blood flow to the digestive tract, causing the stool to appear red. Additionally, spicy foods can sometimes contain red pigments that are not fully digested, further contributing to the red color of the stool. In most cases, red stool after eating spicy food is not a cause for concern and should resolve on its own. **
