We say "two thousand eighteen" instead of "twenty hundred eighteen" because it is the convention to use the "thousand" form when referring to years in the 2000s. This convention helps to clearly distinguish the year from the previous century. Additionally, using "two thousand eighteen" follows the pattern of how we refer to other years in the 2000s, such as "two thousand fifteen" or "two thousand twenty-two." This consistency in naming years helps to avoid confusion and ensures clear communication. **

Laws regarding the age of consent and the legality of relationships between individuals of different ages vary by jurisdiction. In many places, the age of consent is 16 or 18, meaning that individuals below that age are not considered legally able to consent to sexual activity. Therefore, in many cases, it would not be legal for an eighteen-year-old to have a sexual relationship with a fourteen-year-old. It is important to be aware of the specific laws in the relevant jurisdiction to ensure compliance with the law. **
